Gregg Allman Will Tour This Fall

Gregg Allman with Zac Brown earlier this summer

Gregg Allman has added a few fall dates with his solo band. The Allman Brothers Band leader cancelled a number of gigs earlier this year due to health concerns. His new shows include appearances at Westhampton Beach, NY’s Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (10/5), Greenwich, CT’s Greenwich Food and Wine Festival (10/6) and Kure Beach, NC’s 19th Annual Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival (10/13).

Slated to take place from October 4-6, the Greenwich Food and Wine Festival will also feature Felice Brothers, Will Hoge, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Murray Band. Kure Beach, NC’s 19th Annual Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival will confirm its full lineup in the coming weeks. The Allman Brothers Band will kick off a two-night run in Boston tomorrow.

I thought Butch was the leader? LOL Actually, although Gregg says there is no leader; I think its Warren. He picks the set list and manages most things on stage.

The act should be called The Warren Haynes Band Featuring Former Members of The ABB.

is everybody crazy out there. can’t we all just enjoy one of the best bands of all time without argueing about who they think the leader is, and insulting other band members. pretty sad really

Gregg was just down the street from me signing books a couple of days ago. Wonder if he’s bringing the oxygen tank with him onstage still? Does not bode well. He should really be chillin’ and enjoying himself. But if this be what he digs…
