Neil Young, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses and K’naan will join forces on September 29 in New York City’s Central Park as part of the Global Festival, a concert designed to raise awareness and funds towards global poverty.

According to Rolling Stone, the Global Festival takes place while international leaders are gathered at the United Nations General Assembly Meeting to discuss the subject of reducing worldwide poverty by 2015.

To gain access to the festival, potential attendees will be able to enter a lottery by taking action for the various causes and charities represented by the event. These actions include “learning, sharing and taking action against extreme poverty.” Details can be found via the Global Citizen website.
