The Dirt Farmer Band to Headline the NOFO Rock & Folk Fest

Levon Helm’s Dirt Farmer Band will headline the 2012 NOFO Rock & Folk Fest concert series, which kicks off Sunday, August 19 on the Great Lawn at the Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue, NY. Long Island-grown favorite Miles to Dayton and the popular North Fork folk duo The Second Hands will open the show.
“We’ve shifted the NOFO Rock & Folk Fest in a new direction, hosting concerts in August and September instead of having one long weekend of music,” said Peconic Bay Winery General Manager James Silver. “The series will feature national touring acts as well as local and regional artists in an intimate setting at a more affordable price point.”
The Dirt Farmer Band is comprised of the core members of the Levon Helm Band including Levon’s daughter, Amy Helm (vocals), and LHB Musical Director and Bandleader, Larry Campbell (guitar, strings). In addition, the band also includes Teresa Williams (vocals), Byron Isaacs (bass) and Justin Guip (drums).
The NOFO 2012 Concert Series continues on September 9 with Corky Laing and The Memory Thieves. Additional NOFO Rock & Folk Fest 2012 Concert Series dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
