the issue with being a pop band is that your success is only measured by your relevance…your Pop relevance..and these guys lost it long ago. Thing is, when your a pop act, your credibility with the rest of the music scene diminishes somewhat….its an unfortunate aspect of the industry. I say all this because these guys should hang it up and pursue other ventures. Theres def some talent in this band, but collectively they have not been relevant for a long time.

Not relevant? They sold the most tickets of any music act in North America for the last decade, their last album was nominated for album of the year, their last 5 albums have debuted at #1 and every single one of their albums dating back to 1994 have gone platinum. I dare you to list 5 other bands that are as relevant as that.

70,000 tickets sold at Alpine earlier this summer beg to differ with you, moron.

“Pop”? Really? Obviously, one has not heard the latest “pop” music and how dare to even compare to DMB. They have passion and natural talent which surpasses many, especially “pop” bands. Understanding that DMB may be classified in the “pop” genre by some, they certainly have misunderstood the music. They are classified as an “American Rock Band” by others, so what would one say about that?

DMBooo. You’re an idiot. Sorry, i just reread your post and I guess I should have written, your an idiot. The top grossing act for the last decade was DMB. More than U2, the Stones, Madonna… Hang on, maybe Kei$ha and Tyga will come to your town soon.

Dmbooo I take it your tuned into real acts like lady gaga or something worse that thought up in a studio and every aspect is contrived. Hell most pop acts can’t play a piano much less tune a guitar.YOUR AN IDIOT!

He's kind of right August 26, 2012, 20:01:18

DMB lost its mojo when it trashed the Lillywhite Sessions. Dave’s lyrics have gotten progressively worse and cliche and Leroi’s absence is glaring. I’ll admit to seeing DMB 8-10 times in the past decade, but the truth is that deep down I really just want a pre-Everyday setlist. The fact that the music sells does not make it good. Just look at the top of the pop charts if you want to make that argument.
