Renowned Canadian songwriter, and member of the now defunct Broken Social Scene, Jason Collett has announced the release of a new two-disc set, featuring an LP of new material as well as career-spanning retrospective album. The new LP, titled Reckoning, was produced by Howie Beck and includes guest appearances by Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas), Canadian folk singer Basia Bulat, Broken Social Scene frontman Kevin Drew and labelmates Zeus. The retrospective album, titled Essential Cuts, contains two previously unreleased b-sides featuring eleven-songs from throughout Collet’s career.
