Jack White and Tom Morello both played surprise sets at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival this past week. Morello setup in a wooded section of the festival’s Golden Gate Park location and played an intimate acoustic set that included a version of performance of “Flesh Shapes The Day.”

For his stealth show, White and his all-female band blasted through “Hotel Yorba” “Love Interruption”, “Broken Boy Soldier” and “Top Yourself.” For the last song, he borrowed Morello’s acoustic guitar. The pop-up performances were two of the weekend’s many surprises. As previously reported, Bob Weir also sat in with Norah Jones on Saturday.
