Ween guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo has launched a new website called AskDeaner.com, where he plans to fan’s questions. According to the site, fans are welcome post questions about “fishing, music, relationships, etc.” A statement on the site reads:

Hi, my name is Mickey Melchiondo. I also go by the name Dean Ween, or Deaner. I used to play guitar in a band called Ween. I’m also a licensed charter boat Captain with the United States Coast Guard. I run fishing trips out of Belmar, NJ on my boat ARCHANGEL. This is a full-time job and I love being on the water. A lot of my clients are fans of the band and they ask me questions all day when they should be concentrating on fishing instead. I have started this site in the hopes of answering some of those questions beforehand. Feel free to ask me anything, be it about fishing, music, relationships, etc.

Already, Deaner has responded to a question asking about his favorite Grateful Dead song.

“I prefer the Jerry ballads, but that’s a tough one to call because it changes, and there’s a lot of tunes I like,” says Deaner. “Also, I am close friends with a lot of real Deadheads who put in years of their lives into that band and that makes me feel like less of an expert…Ok, all that bullshit aside, I’m just gonna go for a track off one of the records rather than a specific gig, the version of ‘Dark Star’ on Live Dead.”
