Prince Announces "Welcome 2 Chicago" Shows, Collaboration With Rebuild The Dream

Prince will return to Chicago for the first time since 2004 to kick off a multi-date residency, dubbed “Welcome 2 Chicago,” at the United Center on September 24. The residency will also support Rebuild the Dream, an organization founded by Van Jones that seeks to “build strong vibrant communities and to fix our economy from the ground up.”

“We couldn’t be more excited about partnering with a legend like Prince,” said Van Jones, Co-founder and President of Rebuild the Dream. “Our economic system is broken. Rebuild the Dream exists to unite arts and organize into a potent force to support the Dreams of Our Communities. There are few artists who have Prince’s unwavering commitment to a vision of a sustainable, fair economic future.”

Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday, September 6 at 10AM Central at LiveNation.com.
