Jeremiah Lockwood leads The Sway Machinery, a New York-based group that features members of Antibalas, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Arcade Fire. The grandson of the legendary Cantor Jacob Konigsbergi, Lockwood has brought elements of Jewish life into his secular music over the years and, during this year’s Jewish High Holidays, he will help lead services at New York’s 92YTribeca. Standing alongside 92YTribeca’s Rabbi-in-Residence Dan Ain, Lockwood will perform during this year’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. The services are described as “a blend of the old and the new, the relevant and the esoteric, the fasting and the rejoicing.”

Erev Rosh Hashanah: 6:15 pm on Sep 16, raise a glass to the New Year with appletinis and honey cake before Erev Rosh Hashanah services begin at 7 pm.

Rosh Hashanah morning services: 10:30 am on Sep 17, followed by a luncheon.

Kol Nidre: 7 pm, Sep 25.

Yom Kippur morning services, 10:30 am on Sep 26.

Yom Kippur Concluding Services (including dialogue with the Rabbi and Yizkor): 5:30 pm on Sep 26, followed by a break-the-fast meal.
