B.B. King recently wrapped-up a series of dates with Tedeschi Trucks Band. Though King didn’t interact too much onstage with his younger co-headliners, on September 5 he invited both Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi out for a few songs at Hollywood, CA’s Hollywood Bowl. John Mayer attended the show and joined King, Trucks and Tedeschi for the selection of songs. A few highlights from the cross-generational blues jam are now available on Relix.com.

Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Hollywood Bowl set also featured a few sit ins. Songwriter/guitarist David Ryan Harris and Dave Matthews Band/Lettuce trumpeter Rashawn Ross both sat in during the night, including on a cover of The Band’s “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.” A full recap of Tedeschi Trucks Band’s set is available in our show reviews section.
