In related news, Tipitina’s Concert 4 Flood Relief raised over $57,000 for victims of Hurricane Issac last Friday. Thousands of people came out to the iconic New Orleans venue to see the Stooges Brass Band and Mia Borders, as well as to support those who have been affected by the storm. The concert was bittersweet for Borders, who’s house was badly damaged during the hurricane. In addition to cash, concertgoers also brought canned goods for the United Way.
