Strange Design to Cover Rift

Phish tribute act Strange Design will cover the Vermont Quartet’s Rift in its entirety. The show will take place at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, February 2—the 20th anniversary of the album’s release. Strange Design traditional covers Phish shows in their entirety. The Rift show is slated to at 8:30.

the Lawn Boys covered all of Rift, Halloween 2011.

There is no way that album came out 20 years ago. We were listening to that during my Sophomore year in Potsdam!
Oh wait, that was 20 years ago.
I’m pretty happy that I can still see Phish shows, and they sound great.

I remember the release… I was in college in Plattsburgh, NY… a friend and I took the ferry across Lake Champlain to meet the guys at a radio station in Burlington where they were to discuss/play the album… it was a CRAZY winter night, the ferry almost sank and when we finally arrived, only Page was there… the weather was so bad that Mike, Fishman and Trey couldn’t make it to downtown Burlington… still have my signed copy of Rift!
