Dean Ween To Make Post-Ween Appearance at Brooklyn Bowl

Guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo will make a rare post-Ween appearance at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on December 1. He will perfom as a member of Chris Harford and the Band of Changes. In addition to Harford and Dean Ween, this edition of the ever evolving Band of Changes will include Scott Metzger, Matt Kohut and Eric Slick of Dr. Dog. Ween called it quits earlier this year after a 25-year-run. Tickets to the show are on sale now for only $10.

Now that Ween is done, I wonder why Mickey doesn’t go back to Moistboyz. They were really great, and had quite a cult following.

He is recording a solo album and a new Moistboyz album right now.

i have heard that the new moistboys ablum “miggy” is gonna be the most guitar shredding shit ever put down on tape.
i would have prefered ween taking a respecable hiatus rather than genes weirdness, but if it brings the MOISTBOYZ back, fuk it.

Dude’s been playing with this band forever this is not news and its not really related to Aaron leaving the Ween. Moistboyz don’t play cause Dickey lives on the left coast

I wouldn’t really say Mickey playing with Chris is “rare.” I’m pretty sure he’s played with him at least once a year for quite a while now. Mickey plus Scott on guitar is a treat though. They both can destroy a guitar. Chris is a damn good songwriter as well.

this line up is like the 5 millionth time this has happenned in the last 10 years so rare is silly. Its happened more than a couple times a year. Brooklyn bowl and jambands like to latch on to popular man like deaner, but the real guy is always harford at a harford show. They are just all friends. Brooklyn bowl will try their best to bring a crowd in with superstars and rightfully so. Thats what i fuckin think. Will be a good show. Also chris harford is a badass guitarist and performer with a lot of musical stage sharing generosity and thats the reason great musicians love to play with him.
