Medeski Martin & Wood open their acoustic tour tomorrow night in Fall River, MA. These dates support the group’s new album Free Magic, which we reviewed last week. In conjunction with this, the trio also recently recorded three covers for Aquarium Drunkard’s Lagniappe Sessions. They interpreted Ray Charles’ “What’d I Say,” PJ Harvey’s “The Pocket Knife” and Mark James’ “Suspicious Minds” which became a latter-day hit for Elvis Presley.
