The Disco Biscuits played their only non-festival fall show at Baltimore, MD’s Baltimore Soundstage last night. The evening had a decidedly old-school vibe, including the early Biscuit song “Mr. Don” first set. The group also played a few songs live for the first time in over two years, including “Jamillia” (last played September 10, 2010), “Kamaole Sands” (last played June 9, 2010) and Rainbow Song (last played 02/18/2010). In a recent interview with Jambands.com, Marc Brownstein discussed the band’s song selection and emphasis on older material during their limited appearances this year.

The Disco Biscuits’ will kick off their Philadelphia, PA City Bisco festival today. Besides a few underplays in 2010, the Disco Biscuits have not headlined a proper show in their hometown since they played the Electric Factory on November 28, 2009.
