American Jubilee will play a free show at San Rafael, CA’s Terrapin Crossroads on October 14. The performance will take place in the venue’s bar space. Coming together as Terrapin Crossroads’ unofficial house hand, American Jubilee features Scott Harvey, Ross James, Brian Lesh and Scott Padden. The band describes themselves as the following:

[We] perform a mix of rearranged traditional Americana music and originals that draw inspiration from that same vein. Students of music history, American Jubilee tries to walk the same path that was first blazed by the likes of Levon Helm and Gram Parsons, and more recently has been furthered by musicians such as Ryan Adams or the Avett Brothers. While cemented by the core of Brian Lesh, Scott Harvey, Ross James and Scott Padden, American Jubilee often draws from the strong and growing population of young Bay Area musicians such as Elliott Peck, Grahame Lesh and Connor O’Sullivan, as well as more established talent such as Mark Karan and Jon Graboff, to create a communal, family style of music that is hard to find elsewhere.

Like other bar shows, the venue’s owner Phil Lesh may very well sit in during the set, too. Lesh will perform with the Terrapin All Stars at the club on October 11. This version of the Terrapin All Stars includes Phil, Brian & Grahame Lesh, Stu Allen, Ross James and Scott Padden.
