Green Day have announced that they will be canceling their scheduled performance at this year’s Voodoo Music + Arts Experience on October 27, 2012. The band was set to headline the three day New Orleans music festival for the first time since their appearance in 2004. The festival has not announced any replacement acts as of this time. There is also no word on whether or not the cancellation is related to frontman Billy Joe Armstrong’s substance abuse issues. Armstrong checked into rehab following a bizarre meltdown during a Green Day show in Las Vegas in September. A video of the incident can be viewed above.
