The Del McCoury Band will appear on the first episode of the ABC TV series Nashville this evening. The bluegrass legends will show up in the halls of The Grand Ole Opry (in reality a second home to the band) and Ronnie McCoury even has a line in the show. A statement from the band hints, “Listen carefully at the beginning after Rayna walks off stage and you’ll hear Eddie Stubbs say ‘coming up…The Del Mccoury Band.’ And watch for Ronnie McCoury’s big acting debut backstage with Deacon (Chip Estens).”

Nashville is an American musical drama series that follows legendary country music superstar Rayna James (Connie Britton), whose star begins fading as rising teen star Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) is just taking off. It airs at 10/9 central on ABC.
