Bowery Presents Boston Moves Meter Men with Page, Gary Clark Jr. and Barefoot Truth Shows

Promoters Bowery Presents Boston have delayed the opening of their new venue The Sinclair. As of press time, the venue’s first show will be The Dirty Guv’nahs on November 14.

Due to the delay in the club’s opening, several scheduled shows have moved locations. The Meter Men with Page McConnell will now perform at Boston’s Royale (10/30), Andrew Jackson Jihad will perform at TT the Bear’s Place (10/31), Gary Clark Jr. will perform at Royale (11/2-3), K’NAAN will perform at Royale (11/4), The Asteroids Galaxy Tour will perform at Royale (11/8), Roky Erickson will perform at TT the Bear’s Place (11/9), Barefoot Truth will perform at Royale (11/11) and Coverage will perform at Royale (11/12). McConnell’s appearance is part of a four-night run with the original members of The Meters.

That’s lousy. I was excited to see these guys in a smaller space. Royale is not the greatest venue.

Royale is a nightclub. Saw Ryan Bingham last weekend. Doors at 6, opening act at 6:30, headliner at 8, show over at 9:30. They kick everyone out and set it up for dance club rest of night. Have to pay another cover to get back in. Just sayin’, be prepared with back up plan for the rest of your night.
