The distributor of Led Zeppelin’s concert film Celebration Day is looking to extend the movie’s theatrical release because of overwhelming fan demand. Celebration Day grossed over $2 million on its worldwide opening night, in which it played on 1,500 screens in 40 different countries. Since then, social media film distributor Distrify has received 46,000 searches for showtimes per day, as well 4,000 demands for screenings per day. Omniverse, the film’s theatrical distributor, has taken notice and will make its decisions about how to expand the number of screenings accordingly. As previously reported, Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day was shown in theaters across the world for a single day on October 17.
