Tonight’s Trey Anastasio Band show at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY has been postponed because of the approaching hurricane. The concert has been rescheduled, and will now take place on Monday, November 5. The Capitol Theatre posted the following statement on its Facebook page earlier today:

“Due to the arrival of Hurricane Sandy and New York City’s decision to cancel public transportation, tonight’s Trey Anastasio Band concert at The Capitol Theatre will not take place. It will be rescheduled for Monday, November 5. All tickets for tonight’s show will be honored next Monday. We are all deeply disappointed but this decision was made with the safety of our fans in mind. We look forward to seeing you next week.”

Trey Anastasio has spent the past few weeks on the road supporting his new album Traveler. During Friday night’s show at New York’s Beacon Theatre, Anastasio and his band paraded through the crowd with a variety of percussion instruments at the end of “Last Tube.” They also kicked off their encore with an acoustic arrangement of “Heavy Things.”
