Yonder, Dr. Dog, The Roots and More Confirmed for McDowell Mountain Music Festival

The first round of 2013 music festivals have started to confirm their lineups. Phoenix, AZ’s McDowell Mountain Music Festival will take place from March 22-24 at at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix March 22, 23, 24, 2013. For the past six years, the roots music and jam festival has taken place at the Westworld Complex in Scottsdale, AZ. The festival’s initial lineup includes The Roots, Balkan Beat Box, Heartless Bastards, Dr. Dog and Yonder Mountain String Band. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Though the festival’s new location has does not include camping, the festival’s website lists several nearby camping options.

I volunteered at this fest once. It was a greatttt time, very nice people and solid acts. The venue was nice with a great mountain view. All the proceeds went to charity as well!

The last several years were held in the parking lot of The Compound, & previous to that were held at Westworld

This festival has been suffering the last couple years,lets hope this year is no different.Camping near downtown Phoenix is not a possibility unlesss sleepin in the car is good.Bad spot for a festy fo sho.
