Lucinda Williams to Headline WFUV Benefit Concert
Lucinda Williams will headline the 8th Annual Holiday Cheer for FUV concert on Wednesday, December 5 at the Beacon Theatre. The show is a benefit concert for WFUV (90.7 FM), a public rock & roots radio station in New York City. Tickets to the event are priced from $40-$120 and will go on sale on Friday, November 9 at 11am.
Williams was chosen because her music epitomizes the musical styles that WFUV tends to play. The country singer won her first Grammy for Best Country Song in 1993 for “Passionate Kisses.” She also picked up Grammys for her 1999 album Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, as well as her song “Get Right with God.”
