Phil Lesh & Friends played Wake Of The Flood in its entirety during the first set of their show at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ last night. In addition to Lesh, the line up consisted of singer/guitarist Jackie Greene, Furthur guitarist John Kadlecik, drummer Joe Russo and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The 1973 Grateful Dead album was an appropriate choice given that the show took place in New Jersey in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. The second set was not a cover of any particular album but had some highlights nonetheless, including a cover of Traffic’s “Dear Mr. Fantasy.”

Phil Lesh & Friends will perform two more shows at the Wellmont Theatre, tonight and tomorrow. The full set list can be viewed below. You can listen to the entire first set, courtesy of TaperRob’s uStream, above.
