Legendary New Orleans soul/R&B singer Aaron Neville will perform a special concert on Wednesday, November 28 at the Brooklyn Bowl, which will be taped by PBS for broadcast in March 2013. Neville will perform songs from his upcoming release My True Story, a Doo-Wop cover album produced by Keith Richards and Don Was. Neville will be joined at the show by a talented group of musicians including: Greg Leisz (Beck, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams) on guitar, George G. Receli (Bob Dylan, James Brown) on drums, Tony Scherr (Norah Jones, Rufus Wainright, Bill Frisell) on bass and Aaron’s brother Charles Neville (Neville Brothers) on saxophone. The concert will also feature guest appearances by Doo-Wop icons Dickie Harmon of the Del-Vikings and Eugene Pitt of the Jive Fives, who wrote the album’s title track. A limited number of tickets to the event went on sale today and can be purchased here.

As previously reported, Aaron Neville recently made an appearance on the HBO television series Treme. Neville will go on tour in support of My True Story in December.
