Grandaddy frontman Jason Lytle is currently on the road opening for Band of Horses. The musicians have bonded on the road and turned a hotel stop into a joint recording session. The members of Band of Horses recently laid down a cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “Don’t You Take It Too Bad’ with the musicians and they have since released the song for free on Soundcloud. According to the musicians, the tune was started by Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell “in a Italian hotel room and finished in the wild of Montana by Mr. Lytle.”

Band of Horses will perform at Manchester, UK’s Manchester Academy today. Lytle will join the group on the road for a show at Bloomington, IN’s Bluebird Nightclub on November 29.
