Matisyahu Releases Hanukkah Song for Sandy Relief

Jewish reggae artist Matisyahu has released a new song, “Happy Hanukkah,’ to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Starting today, all proceeds from the song will go to the Jewish Federations of North America and The Robin Hood Foundation to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. Proceeds from the song will be donated to these organizations until the of Hanukkah on December 16. You can download “Happy Hanukkah” via iTunes, Amazon and MatisyahuWorld.

As previously reported, Matisyahu will kick off his sixth annual “Festival of Light” Hanukkah tour on December 8. Matisyahu is currently in the middle of his fall college tour, which has taken him to campuses all over the country. The newly shorn musician stopped by the Relix office this past summer to play “Sunshine” off his latest album Spark Seeker. You can watch a video of the performance above.
