Tom Hamilton in the studio

Members of American Babies sat in with Tea Leaf Green during their shows in Falls Church, VA and Baltimore, MD last week. Tom Hamilton and Nick Brockarth played guitar with Tea Leaf Green on “Flowers and the Devil” and “All Along the Watchtower” (which also featured singer Pamela Parker) on November 15 in Falls Church.  Hamilton and American Babies drummer Dave Butler joined Tea Leaf on “Ride Together” and JJ Cale’s “Can’t Get High” the following night in Baltimore. Brockarth also joined the group later in the set for the Meat Puppet’s “Lake of Fire,” a song that was revitalized after Nirvana covered it during their Unplugged performance. American Babies also opened for Tea Leaf Green at both of the above shows, as well as at a number of other stops on Tea Leaf’s fall tour.

American Babies is the Americana project of Brothers Past guitarist Tom Hamilton. You can listen to their latest full length album, Flawed Logic, below. As previously reported, Brothers Past will co-headline a New Year’s Eve show with The Heavy Pets at The Trocadero in Philadelphia.
