Chris Chew Will Sit Out the North Mississippi Allstars’ Thanksgiving Leftovers Show

As previously reported, North Mississippi Allstars will host their annual Thanksgiving Leftovers show at Memphis, TN’s Minglewood Hall on Friday, November 23. Though longtime NMA bassist Chris Chew was originally confirmed to join his band at the event, the bassist has pulled out of the show due to a scheduling conflict. Instead, Lightnin’ Malcolm and Alvin Youngblood Hart will both join North Mississippi Allstars during the night. Chew took a hiatus from the Allstars earlier this year but has joined them on special occasions throughout 2012 after he survived a diabetic coma in June.

In addition, representatives from the Mid-South Food Bank will be on hand collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for the hungry. The first 100 people to bring a canned food or non-perishable item to the show and receive a limited edition poster commemorating the night, autographed by the band.

Robert Planet ? who the hell is he? We rip on for misspelling. So you are clearly going straight to hell for the misinformation you are providing. Of course i am just kidding and making a silly comment about people who hassle this website for grammar and spelling. I do notice the spelling errors but i am only grateful for the information this website provides me. For free no less. Thanks and pardon me Memphish for having a laugh at your expense!!

lol Ray Vann – it’s not exactly a typo. Listen to Zappa’s album Fillmore East, June 1971.
