Singer/songwriter and activist Erin McKeown has announced the release of her next album MANIFESTRA, as well as a series of January tour dates in the Northeast and Midwest. The album, which will be available January 15, was funded by McKeown’s fan-base through PledgeMusic, a crowdsourcing fundraiser similar to Kickstarter. One of the tracks on MANIFESTRA was co-written with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. The song, “Baghdad To The Bayou,” addresses various politically-fraught topics from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Mexico. Another song from the album, “Jailer,” can be streamed below.
