Stockholm Syndrome Drummer Wally Ingram will sub for Jose Martinez with Leftover Salmon this weekend. Martinez fractured his foot while on tour and will be unable to join Leftover Salmon at Boulder, CO’s Boulder Theatre on November 23 and 24. Ingram, who has played drums for the likes of Bruce Hornsby, Eric Burdon, Sheryl Crow, Steve Kimock, Anders Osborne and many others, will fill in for both shows.

A note from Martinez reads:

I just wanted to fill you in on some personal updates. On the recent fall tour I had an accident where my foot was fractured one week into the tour. There were two weeks left on the tour when the injury occurred, but we found a way to finish out the tour with the injury. It was definitely a challenge but I am glad we got to finish a successful tour.

Unfortunately when I got home, further examinations of my foot revealed I would need surgery. It is with this news that I have to let you know I will not be able to make it to the Boulder shows Thanksgiving weekend. As much as I had hoped to be there, the healing process still has ways to go. Trying to perform this weekend so soon after surgery is feeling too risky. Sorry for this late notice but I was really hoping to make.

Wally Ingram who you are all familiar with will be filling in, and I know he will do a fantastic job. I will be in Mexico with the band next month and in full capacity for the NYE run to celebrate and welcome 2013 in Chicago with you all. Thanks for understanding. It has been a fantastic year and I’m looking forward to rejoining the band next month.

There are a limited amount of tickets remaining for this weekend’s shows.
Del McCoury Band’s Jason Carter will join Leftover Salmon at the theater on Friday while The Infamous Stringdusters’ Andy Hall will appear on Saturday.
