The Mother Hips have confirmed some special holiday appearances. On November 29, the band will headline New York’s Highline Ballroom. Like their recent shows in San Francisco and San Diego, the group will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Back To The Grotto by performing the roots-jam classic in its entirety during the show.

A few weeks later, The Mother Hips will host their annual Christmas and Holiday Shows at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall on December 21 and 22. The Mother Hips’ old friends Jackpot will open on December 21, marking the first time they’ve supported a holiday Hips show in over ten years. Bandleader Rusty Miller promises a set of “Jackpot’s Greatest Hits.” Then, The Mother Hips will close the year with a hometown gig at Chico, CA’s El Rey Theatre on December 31. Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers will open the night.
