New York public radio station WFUV will celebrate Thanksgiving with two days of live recordings. The performances were taped at venues as small as Electric Lady Studios and The Living Room and as large as music festivals like Newport Folk and SXSW. WFUV’s special mix of live indie, roots and improvisational music will air from 10 AM-Midnight today, Thursday, November 22, and 10 AM-2 PM, Friday, November 23,

The first day of the annual Thanksgiving Feastival will feature performances by Dawes, Calexico, Regina Spektor and Wilco as well as a broadcast of the Arlo Guthrie classic “Alice’s Restaurant” at Noon. On Friday, the live music marathon will continue with performances by Shawn Colvin, Alabama Shakes, Norah Jones, and Sigur Rós throughout the day. New Yorkers can tune into WFUV at 90.7 FM, while fans elsewhere can listen at www.wfuv.org.
