Back in 1997 Phish formed the WaterWheel Foundation to focus on the group’s charitable endeavors. This coming Sunday, December 2, the organization will preview the band’s Star Lake 98 DVD. The event will take place at 8pm at The Roxy in downtown Burlington, VT. 100% of the proceeds from a raffle and ticket sales will support the King Street Center, a youth community center in Burlington. Patrons will have the opportunity to win tickets to the group’s sold out New Year’s Eve Phish show at Madison Square Garden or other events at Vermont area venues, including Higher Ground. The WaterWheel Foundation has donated over $550,000 to more than 325 recipients since its inception. As previously reported, the Star Lake 98 DVD features a complete video of Phish’s August 11, 1998 show at the Star Lake Amphitheatre in Burgettstown, PA. The DVD can be pre-ordered here.
