Trey Anastasio Band To Play Summer Camp Music Festival

Trey Anastasio Band will play two full sets at the 2013 Summer Camp Music Festival. The band will co-headline the event with Summer Camp regulars moe. and Umphrey’s McGee. The announcement came today via Summer Camp’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Earlier this week, the festival announced that it would reveal its initial line up on Friday, November 30 at 5pm. However, they also stated that they would be leaking some of the artists on Facebook and Twitter starting today. Trey Anastasio Band is the first such artist to be revealed. These leaks will be happening throughout the next two days—so make sure to pay attention to Summer Camp’s Twitter and Facebook. The 2013 Summer Camp Music Festival will take place May 24-26 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL.

Is this because Phish will have just wrapped up a huge 3 month Winter tour in celebration of their 30th year, and be off the road for 6-8 weeks before Summer tour? I sure hope so… and if so, then the dates must be about to be announced as a nice Christmas (and Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and any other religious December celebration… don’t wanna make anyone feel left out %^) present!

I assume the previous comment is tongue in cheek, but there is not going to be a winter Phish tour. They haven’t done that since 2003, plus Trey’s show is opening on Broadway in February.

Before people freak out this does not mean there will not be a summer phish tour its prob just a one off show for tab or a small tab tour for late spring!

YES!! The Trey Anastasio Band is absolutely awesome! However it’s not Phish, so you assbags coming to the show who will inevitably stand right in my dancing space and scream for them to play Antelope, please stay home. Or if you ARE coming, please recognize it’s the Trey band and appreciate their incredible talent to play music. You’ve seen umpteen thousand Phish shows, so why not give his side band a chance? They are very very good…
