George Porter Jr. joined Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Keswick Theatre in Keswick, PA last night. It was the second of five shows with Porter filling in for bassist Oteil Burbridge, who recently left the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Fans were treated to a bust out of The Meters classic “Ain’t No Use,” with Porter on lead vocals. He will continue to join the band for three more nights at shows in Boston, Harrisburg, PA and Albany, NY. Tedeschi Trucks Band will headline Florida’s Sunshine Blues Festival January 18-20 before heading to Australia for a short tour in March.

As previously reported, Oteil Burbridge left the Tedeschi Trucks Band in October to focus on starting a family. He will play with members of his old band Aquarium Rescue Unit at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA on December 16.
