Keller Williams and members of Greensky Bluegrass gave fans in Lawrence, KS a treat this past Saturday when they sat in at each others shows, which took place at separate venues in the same neighborhood. Greensky’s Paul Hoffman and Anders Beck joined Williams at The Granada for “Wine” and “Portapotty” before Keller returned the favor by heading a few blocks down the road to join Greensky for a rendition of the Grateful Dead’s “Franklin’s Tower” at The Bottleneck. As previously reported, Greensky Bluegrass will ring in the New Year at the The Majestic in Detroit on December 30. Keller Williams will spend his New Year’s Eve with the Travelin McCourys (with whom he released the album Pick earlier this year) and the Del McCoury Band at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN. Keller has also recently announced a number of tour dates for early 2013. You can watch a video of Greensky Bluegrass playing “Franklin’s Tower” with Keller Williams above.
