Jimmy Page announced that he intends to hit the road for a solo tour in 2013. The legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist made the statement during an interview with Guitar World when he said, “This time last year I intended to be actually playing by now in a live outfit. So that will have to be postponed now into sort of next year, tail end of next year. But I definitely want to be doing that.”

The surviving members of Led Zeppelin have been in public a lot lately promoting the release of their concert film Celebration Day. You can watch footage and read analysis of their October 9 press conference in New York City here. In addition to promoting the film, the Zeppelin guys have also been in the spotlight for other reasons. Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones were awarded Kennedy Center Honors by President Obama during a ceremony at the White House last week. They discussed the awards with fellow recipient David Letterman on The Late Show last Monday. You can watch a clip from that interview here.
