Phish Announce Details for NYE Webcasts

Phish have announced the details of the live webcast for their sold-out New Year’s Eve shows at Madison Square Garden. LivePhish.com will broadcast a 10 camera, high-definition shoot of each show with high quality, live-mixed audio, which fans will be able to watch on PCs, MACs, iPads, iPhones and Androids. Four night passes can be pre-ordered for $58.99, while the webcasts of individual shows can be purchased for $14.99, with the exception of the December 31 show, which will cost $19.99. CDs, MP3s and FLACs of each night will be available as well.

Fans who are unable to watch the streams live will be able to view archived videos of the full shows within 72 hours of each performance. As soon as the archived streams are made available, people who paid for the webcasts will be emailed a special code that will give them access the video. The code will only be redeemable for 48 hours.

In order to help their fans avoid technical issues with the streams down the road, LivePhish has provided a test video that they can use to determine if their computer is compatible with the webcasts. The test video of Phish playing “Light” at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Arena in Commercie City, CO on September 1, 2013 can viewed at LivePhish.com. The webcasts, as well as the audio from the concerts, can be pre-ordered here

Woooopie! Couch tour is on, clean bathroom 10ft away, fridge with cold beer, no annoying phan behind me bragging about how totally awesome he is, and saving about $200. Thanks Phish

“Fans who are unable to watch the streams live will be able to view archived videos of the full shows within 72 hours of each performance.”
but
“The code will only be redeemable for 48 hours.” Which is it?

within 72 hours of each show you’ll be able to view your webcast purchase(most likely it’ll be available the following day) once you plug in your code, you’ll then have 48 hours to watch your show, after 2 days, you’re SOL if you can’t finish viewing- now what i can’t comment on is if you plug in the code, say, in March, if it’ll still be available…..

This happened to me last year for the Lake Tahoe webcast. LivePhish will email you a code sometime between 24-72 hours after the concert. You use the code to watch the replay; however once they send the code you only have 48 hours to redeem it and watch the replay.

so does this mean i still have to watch the live stream and celebrate new years @ 9 o’clock out here on the Best coast cuz that code takes 24 hours to get a hold of? was trying to cue it up to our time zone….. This band is screwing the pooch as far as when they announce this stuff…. msg is a guaranteed sell-out….. why not announce the webcast immediately so we can all plan a phucking huge party at an awesome venue out here in cali? the SF Independent’s phish party on the 29th last year was the shiznit!!!! how bout 4 nights of that?!!!!

Because then people could watch for free. They don’t want is throwing our own concerts for 50 people. They want the money from each!
