Matisyahu will perform at New York’s City Winery for the first time tomorrow as part a Hurricane Sandy relief benefit. The event will raise funds and awareness for the Tunnels to Towers Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, a Hurricane Sandy fund administered by the Tunnels to Towers Foundation created in memory of firefighter Stephen Siller who was lost on 9/11. Matisyahu played a guest-filled Hanukkah show at New York’s far larger Terminal 5 on Saturday night.

The event, which has been budded A Loveletter to New York, will feature previously confirmed acts Joan Osborne, Ari Hest, Nicole Atkins, Bobby Long, Alberta Cross, Jesse Malin, Chris Ayer, Sasha Dobson, Bobby Raw, and Staten Island/Brooklyn native Kevin Devine. The evening is being presented by RED Distribution, ‘stache media, Awe & the Abyss and YouCare.

Though in the dark zone, City Winery remained open during Hurricane Sandy and hosted a series of free, New York films. A Loveletter to New York will be broadcast globally online through Livestream starting at 7:30 PM on December 18, with sponsorship provided by GREY New York. In addition, an online silent charity auction benefiting the Tunnels to Towers Foundation will be hosted on eBay during the show. Items up for bid will include a banjo signed by the artists performing at City Winery, as well as a Gibson guitar signed by the Loveletter lineup, among many others. Special bottles of wine will be on sale at the venue with a portion of the proceeds going to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
