AmEx Pre-Sale Confirms The Allman Brother Band’s Beacon Dates

The Allman Brothers Band will return to New York’s Beacon Theatre this March. According to an email sent from an AmEx presale site that was since been picked up by The Allman Brothers Band forum, the band will return to the Beacon for shows on March 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15 and 16. As previously reported, The Allman Brothers Band will return to New York a few weeks after their Beacon run to perform at Madison Square Garden as part of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival on April 12 and 13.

The Brothers will likely officially confirm their Beacon shows in the coming days (they have even confirmed on New Year’s Eve in the past). The band may also tack on a few additional Beacon shows, though Derek Truck’s Tedeschi Trucks Band is slated to kick off an Australian tour on March 26.

I used to look forward to buying tix for these shows. Unfortunately the Bro’s deal with the devil denies many of their longtime fans a shot at the best seats so that AmEx can get theirs. Thanks but no thanks. The balcony seats are not worth the price or the hassle.

Tim said it and called a spade a spade. My love for the Allmans is undying yet not only the prices but possibly even more so the way they go about dishing these seats out is egregious. A slap in the face to long time fans, especially in this economy.

AMEX has done a Beacon presale for many years now, and a lot of longtime fans have their cards. If you can’t get a fee-free AMEX Blue card, you probably should not be buying luxury items like these tix anyway.

Some always seem to be bound to miss the point

*Once again fans are denied their favorite music having to compete with overpriced concerts/card holder pre-sale. *Cherish those days of camping out at ticket boxes & getting awesome seats=*Great Music&Memories..

If your point is that only people w/ poor credit are ABB fans, then that point is wrong. Get an AMEX, or borrow the parents’ card, or just whine and wait for the regular onsale date.

b perry – do you get into pissing contests with everyone you encounter? if you don’t know wtf you are talking about, just move along.

why dont you just become a peach member then you can have presale without amex….its free….if you dont like how they handle there bussiness dont go..

Ok Tim, what exactly do I not know? It’s just amusing to me how people complain, rather than simply dealing w/ reality. Lots of bands do credit card presales. I deal w/ it. Maybe you should too.

As it’s become fashionable to get tix for ABB @ Beacon, and the demand’s gone up, so have the prices as well as the exclusivity of sales from AMEX pre-sales to StubHub mystery availabilities: it could be different if the band wanted it to be.
