While he continues to work on his first post-Ween musical projects, Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo has announced that he’ll host fishing charters out of Ft. Lauderdale. Melchiondo is a formerly chartered captain and has been hosting charters out of his native New Hope, PA on the Delaware River as well as out of Neptune NJ on the Atlantic Ocean for a number of years now.

A note from Dean Ween reads:

While we here in the Northeast are still in the early stages of recovery from Hurricane Sandy we have not forgotten about our number one passion, catching fish the way we like to catch them. It is with pleasure that I announce our February Sailfish Charters which I will be running in partnership with my friend (and sometimes first mate) Capt. Phil Dunn on his boat “FILLAMAGILLA” in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. There is no better place to be in February then in warm, sunny S. Florida. Phil and I have fished together many times and have a great working relationship and friendship. We have a window of time available from 2/16 to 2/23 and are looking to book 6 trips in that window of opportunity. The Sailfishing is at it’s peak that time of year and you can also expect to catch Mahi as well as many other pelagic fish. Obviously availability is very limited, now is a perfect time to book, I can give you lodging info as well. Talk about a great X-mas gift, treat a loved one to some warm weather fishing this winter! Call me with inquiries at 215-693-4215 and have a happy and safe holiday!

Melchiondo recently played a series of shows with Band of Changes.
