My Morning Jacket returned to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY last night for the second performance of they three night run. After an opening set from Brooklynn-based afro-beat revivalists Antibalas, the band kicked off the evening with a few mellow songs like “Wonderful (The Way I Feel)” “Golden” and “Tonite I Want to Celebrate with You.” The Antibalas horns came out a few songs later for “First Light” before My Morning Jacket went into a cover of Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” with Jim James adding some lyrics from Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” to the end of the tune. Carl Broemel got to contribute his solo song “Carried Away,” which was followed by a cover of The Band’s “It Makes No Difference.” Next, the Antibalas horns returned for an epic rendition of “Dondante.” My Morning Jacket ended the show with one of their signature extended encores, which included “At Dawn,” “Holdin On To Black Metal” and a show closing “Touch Me I’m Going To Scream Pt. 2.”

As previously reported, My Morning Jacket will play the final show of their three-night run Capitol Theatre run tonight before ringing in the New Year at the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA on December 31. Last night’s full set list can be viewed below.
