Umphrey’s McGee kicked off their four night New Year’s Eve run at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA last night. The band opened their show with the debut of “Auf Wiedershen” which played into “Professor Wormbog” > “Cemetery Walk.” The second set started off with an unfinished “Puppet String” sandwiched between “Phil’s Farm,” with the first part of “Phil’s Farm” including a tease of “Comma Later.” Later in the set, the band covered Steve Ray Vaughn’s “Lenny” before closing it out with “Plunger” segued into a “Resolution” that featured a tease of Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger,” followed by a rendition of Bob Seger’s “Hollywood Nights.” The show ended with an encore of “Prowler” > the end of “Puppet String.”

As previously reported, Umphrey’s McGee will play three more sold out shows at the Tabernacle over the next three days. They will be supported by Zoogma tonight and Moon Taxi tomorrow night.
