Last night, STS9 debuted a new song and a couple of covers at the final show of their New Year’s Eve run at the Fillmore in Denver, CO. The band kicked off the show with a fairly standard first set that included a good bit of newer material like “20-12,” “Scheme,” “Grizzly” and “Simulator.” The band came out swinging for the second set, as a horns section joined them on stage for the first performance of the new song “End Titles,” as well as the debut covers of Jamiroquai’s “Revolution” and Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration.” STS9 also played their rendition of The Cure’s “The Walk,” which has been a regular part of their setlists since it was debuted earlier this year. The band closed out the night with an encore that included “T.W.E.L.V.E.” and “Wika Chikana.” STS9 will release a new album in 2013.
