As part of their golf and garden party-themed New Year’s Eve gag, Phish brought numerous dancers and actors onstage around midnight. They also invited out Syracuse, NY singer to join them on “Tweezer Reprise.” That girl was Carrie Manolakos, who made some internet waves earlier this year with her cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.” She also recently released the solo album Echo.

In a recent interview with Syracuse.com. Manolakos discusses her recent onstage collaboration with the Vermont Quartet. During her Q & A she reveals that her connection to the band was the gag’s music arranger Carmel Dean and that the band was trying to emulate Pink Floyd’s “Great Gig in the Sky” with her vocal parts. Her entire interview is now available online. She will return to New York for a gig at the recently reopened Cutting Room on February 28.
