Tom Morello will replace Steven Van Zandt in the E Street Band March 14-31 for the Australia leg of Bruce Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball tour. Van Zandt will be on a temporary hiatus in order to deal with previous filming commitments for his television show Lilyhammer. Morello played on multiple songs from Wrecking Ball and appeared with the band at recent shows in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. He also joined the band onstage for SXSW, the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert and their performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In addition to his upcoming stint with the E Street Band, Morello will play at the 2013 MusiCares benefit gala honoring Springsteen alongside Neil Young, Mumford & Sons, Elton John, Alabama Shakes, Jim James and more. Van Zandt will return to the Wrecking Ball tour on April 29 in Oslo, Norway.
