Jon Fishman’s Pork Tornado Returns

Jon Fishman’s comedy-infused funk-bar band Pork Tornado have confirmed their first show in more than a decade. As Hidden Track reports, The group will perform at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on February 6. Fishman formed the band in 1997 and played with Pork Tornado around Burlington, VT between Phish tours. The group started to gig outside Vermont in 1999, and they released a self-titled album in 2002. They have been inactive since that album’s support tour wrapped-up in late 2002. The band’s core lineup include includes Lawn Boy producer Dan Archer, Joe Moore (saxophone, vocals), Aaron Hersey (bass, vocals) and Phil Abair (keyboards, vocals).

Fishman will also return to Burlington, VT’s Nectar’s this evening. He will perform with the Grippo Funk Band

Awesome! “Kiss my black ass!” is a great tune, but look away when you see it live! :o)

Awsome show last night at Equifunk. Closed with a rousing rendition of Kiss my black ass” with a surprise for the band as some chick went up there and actually kissed it. Too bad as in the photo I took she is merely approaching.
