Bill Nershi and Dan Sears sat in with Railroad Earth last night at the Ogden Theatre in Denver. Nershi joined the band on acoustic guitar for “Elko,” the final song of the first set. Sears, who has collaborated with the String Cheese Incident and Guster in the past, brought his flugelhorn into the mix on “Goat,” which opened the second set. Nershi returned to contribute vocals on Railroad Earth’s debut of the Honkytonk Homeslice tune “Cats,” and the String Cheese Incident guitarist stuck around for “RV.” He then showed up again at the end of the set for “Cuckoo’s Medley” before Sears joined the group on “I Am A Mess.” Nershi also helped the band close out the show during the “Bringin’ My Baby Back Home” encore.
