Lollapalooza has postponed its plans to bring the festival to Israel. The former touring festival, which successfully rebranded itself as a destination event, has expanded to overseas markets in recent years with Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil. Last summer the festival announced its intention to establish itself in Tel Aviv with Lollapalooza Israel. However the news broke today that the event has been postponed, with the fest posting the following statement on its official Facebook page:

“Our plans for Lollapalooza Israel – לולהפלוזה 2013 have been postponed, but we will provide any and all updates as soon as available.”

Despite the setbacks, the American edition of Lollapalooza is still set to take place in Chicago’s Grant Park August 2-4.
